Yeah Go On Then Presents:
Qujaku, Red Deer People. Sticky Mike's £5 adv
Japanese psychedelic band formed in 2013 and based in Shizuoka, Japan. Their music is gothic dark shoegaze, which reminds you of The Horrors, but it also contains emotional expressions that Japan uniquely has, leading you to feel Scandinavian post rock like Sigur Ros. Aesthetic but also destructive, roar but also silence, QUJAKU are a rare newcomer that has two opposite elements at the same time. They released their debut album, ‘ZyouK’, from So I Buried Records in October 2015 and a new EP, 'Keiren', in April 2016, heading to deeper psychedelia.
RED DEER PEOPLE:
Effects-heavy and conceptually strong shoe-gaze that make their retro guitars howl. Fronted by what appeared to be a reincarnation of the still-living Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, engulfed in a cacophony of art rock.
THE CONTACT HIGH:
Droning psychedelic and krautrock inspired walls of noise. Their sets consist of semi improvised loose arrangments, squalls of noise juxtaposed against moments of tranquil soundscape and rythmic dones.
