Gittins To Know You: Spencer Jones + Ivo Graham

Brian Gittins Presents:

GITTINS TO KNOW YOU // SPENCER JONES + IVO GRAHAM // BOOK TICKETS

Sticky Mike's basement is a great intimate venue for showcasing new comedy. Brian Gittins knows this well and continues to bring some of the best names from the alternative circuit to perform in such an intimate space.

After a few months off for the Summer Brian is returning with some some new faces to take to the stage.

So for September we have SPENCER JONES who’s style is shambolic and chaotic which includes a mash-up of music, visual, prop and character comedy. ‘You will not encounter a show that puts a bigger smile on your face.’★★★★ Evening Standard

‘Spencer Jones has built one of the silliest, most consuming shows of the Fringe.’ ★★★★★ Times

also on the bill is IVO GRAHAM - Apologetic Eton and Oxford alumnus Ivo started stand-up in 2009 at the age of eighteen and eight months later became the youngest ever winner of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny award for new acts at the Edinburgh Fringe. Since graduating three years later he has become a regular fixture in the clubs and theatres of the UK circuit, with a gauche charm and crafty, self-aware wit which has proved a hit with audiences of all ages, and led to appearances on multiple TV and radio shows. He has also written for various other TV comedy shows, as well as his own sitcom projects in development with Big Talk Productions and the BBC.

His three solo stand-up shows have enjoyed sell-out runs at Edinburgh and London’s Soho Theatre, and he will be returning there and elsewhere to perform his fourth hour in 2017. As the Evening Standard put it, ‘if you like your comedy with long words and beautiful linguistic flourishes, buy a ticket immediately’.

As usual the proceedings will be MC'd badly by Brian Gittins. Plus we have Brian's naughty spots unleashing some of the newest comedy talent there is to offer right now.

'Gittins To Know You' is a marvel of a carefully orchestrated shambles, filled with glee, spontaneity, and a knowledge that there’s nothing else like it. This is the home of oddballs, lunatics, and risks, and the bunker environment suits it. As does the city and the audience, who keep coming back for more of this anarchic joy.' - Latest 7 - 2016

'The world's worst stand up comedian.' - Sussex Argus 2013
