ANSYS 003 // DJ Storm // Law // Timbo Slice

In case you haven't heard we'll be taking over Sticky Mike's Frog Bar every 3rd Friday of the month, and to kick things off we're super excited to announce a colossal old skool jungle and drum & bass spectacular!

With some of the best in the scene playing all vinyl, all night long, expect belters to be flung left right and centre, with breakbeats sure to get you moving, and basslines bound to get you bobbing, there's gonna be some heavy artillery in this intimate venue!

DJ Storm [90 min Old Skool / Blue Note set]

Absolute legend and pioneer DJ Storm has always been one of the most influential DJs within drum and bass, known for her tight mixing skills and exclusive selections. One half of the well loved and respected female DJ duo Kemistry and Storm, the affectionately dubbed 'First Lady of Drum and Bass' and recipient of the best female DJ award at the National Drum and Bass awards has been firmly cemented in the scenes hall of fame since the 90’s.

Having been lent money to buy their first set of decks by the kingpin Goldie, DJ Kemistry & DJ Storm have been key players in the renowned label Metalheadz label since it was founded in 1994. Residents at the Headz legendary club night at Blue Note in London, which to this day is thought to be the best Metalheadz venue in history, the duo were also responsible for bookings and the growth of the scene in general. Since the tragic loss of Kemistry in 1999, Storm has continued to hold the fort worldwide as one of the Metalheadz label's chief selectors, growing from strength to strength as a DJ. We can’t even begin to explain how much of a legend this woman is in words, so get down to witness for her tear the roof off Sticky Mikes for yourself!

One for the heads that know. The author of what is probably the best old skool jungle, hardcore and drum & bass blog on the net,, there’s no denying Law’s taste of breakbeat infused music is impeccable. Having produced tribute mixes for almost every great in the scene, from Dillinja to Hidden Agenda, Source Direct to LTJ Bukem DJ, his mixing and track selections are on point each and every time, further confirming this man is literally a walking encyclopedia of jungle and drum and bass. Law's taste is also reflected through the successful contemporary jungle label Repertoire of which he both he runs and has released tracks on. Having held stints on both pirate and internet radio, Law has played events around the UK with multiple apperances at Rupture also under his belt. Expect a predominantly old skool set with a few newer numbers flung in, we can’t wait to hear what gems Law is going to unleash for us!

Timbo Slice

Somewhat of an enigma, Timbo Slice keeps his online presence quiet and his sets loud. Allowing the music to do the talking, the Bristol born, now Manchester based producer is best known for laying down weighty tracks with sliced breakbeats and twisted amens. Playing anything from early 90s old skool right down to 140 jungle, all of his tunes will leave you wanting more. Trust us when we say this guy knows how to get a crowd going!
