King Brothers is a rock band from Nishinomiya City in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Formed in 1997, the band made its major label debut on Toshiba EMI in 2001. The group was banned from performing at several venues in Osaka after destructive live shows.

"Hold onto your hat and get ready for one of the most over-the-top rock n' roll bands of all time, hailing from Nishinomiya City Japan and weighing in at a combined weight of nearly 300 lbs." - KING BROTHERS!

Combining the elements of every vital era of rock n' roll music and then exploding it, KING BROTHERS approximate the sound of the Germs backing Howlin' Wolf with his hand caught in a garbage disposal. This is very wild music and they take it very seriously. The KING BROTHERS toured the US in 1999 and 2001 and left a trail of blind worshippers in their wake. Their self-titled debut album on Bulb Records is an exercise in lo-fi dementia - it makes Guitar Wolf sound like Belle and Sebastian!

Black Mekon (PNKSLM Recordings)
Named after the legendary Black Mekong, illegitimate children of prostitutes visited by missionary preachers, abandoned to fend for themselves on the banks of The Mekong River.

The live Black Mekon show is a blistering in-the-red punk blues, their travelling club (The Tight Pussy) has graced shores all over Europe and the US, 3 successful tours of South America and has designs on planting itself firmly in your lap next.

“We do not sing tales for tales sake; we can only approach this at 300 mph with no regard for personal safety or truth. Your party needs us, as every good party does, for insecurity, tight roping and hot lava. Black Mekon is your daddy, baby.”
